Cornelius Marijuana Regulations

In November 2016 the Cornelius City Council adopted new regulations for medical and recreational marijuana facilities within the City limits. In general, medical dispensaries and recreational retail facilities are allowed as conditional uses in the Highway Commercial (C-2) zone. Medical and recreational production (growing) and processing facilities are allowed as conditional uses in the General Industrial (M-1) zone. All uses are subject to a 1,000 foot prohibitive buffer from any school and 500 foot prohibitive buffer from any park.
